The power cord half of the AC Adapter I received didn't work out of the box. Pretty annoying to receive a non functioning product.

I would absolutely NOT recommend this product. I bought it thinking that it would be more reliable than the $.26 ones, since it was directly from HP, and it stopped working after two or three days. I was extremely angry and the only reason I didn't return it was because I went to radio shack and they tested it and found out the cheapest part of the cord, the part without the power block, was not working. It cost $8 to replace so I went ahead and did that. Still, this product sucks and doesn't work for very long at all.

Great charger, works great, fast shipping. Overall I am very pleased. People did mention that the cord was shorter than the original power cord that came with the laptop. That is true, but didn't bother me any.

This adapter causes serious static on all our TV's, even using a power surge. Do they sell one that doesn't do that? My old one didn't do that. I wouldn't recommend this one, it's going back.

The only problem with this cord is that it sparks when plugging into an outlet and it has a slight heat on the boxed area.
