I was not prepare for the extra size required for a 12 cell battery. Things don't fit quite as well in my bag anymore.

This was a wasted purchase. My HP laptop now gets a little more than 2 hours on battery time. It is awkward as the battery sticks out, but that isn't a big problem. The big problem is that the battery doesn't keep my laptop powered for even a short flight. It may be time for an Apple.

This Yuantel is a common aftermarket replacement battery for the HP Pavilion Dv6000 Series. For the money it is a very attractive choice, providing the extra run time that seems to be necessary with today's laptop needs. Note that the body of the unit is oversized to accomodate the additional cells so your keyboard will angle at a few degrees forward. Don't forget the added weight considerations.
I should note that my initial shipment was a bad unit and the retailer did not provide a 'call tag' for return shipping. Should this happen to you, ask the retailer for a pre paid return 'call tag' and see if they are willing to follow through. Upon receipt, however they did replace it immediately and customer service was good. In the meantime, when you order make sure you keep your old battery to limp along until the new one arrives. I recommend this Yuantel as it has performed well so far.

Battery works fine with HP Pavilion dv 6700/6910 but it is not exact replacement for original battery. The rear of the laptop will be raised about 1". I found it beneficial for typing and enjoy much longer battery life.

My only bit of confusion is that when plugging in the new battery, I did a battery test on my laptop and the status came up "Replace" ...which is definitely not what a new battery should end up with. But it tripled the battery life it used to have, and I've had no problems. Thank you!
